Pour Stops

Use pour stops to create a stopping point to prevent poured concrete from spilling over the ends of the metal deck. The height and overhang of these formed galvanized angles make your construction job easier by supporting and containing the concrete during placement. Place pour stops around the perimeter of a floor or opening, for example. Attach these accessories to cell closures using welds.

Pour stops form the edge of the cured concrete. The return—or lip—along the vertical leg of the pour stop prevents differential buckling of the light gauge material to maintain a straight edge. See the Steel Deck Institute pour stop table for required leg lengths and thickness of the legs.
