Structural Deck Types

Type A decking is 1-1/2” deep and 36” wide, also known as narrow rib decking. A deck usually serves as a patch material for reroofing projects since more economical types are now available.

Keystar also stocks F-deck, also known as intermediate rib decking. Type F deck is 1-1/2” deep and 36” wide. F deck also typically serves as a patch material for reroofs since more economical types of roof deck are now available.

B-deck has become the most popular decking for new roofs because of its strength/price ratio. Type B decking is also 1-1/2” deep and 36” wide. The wide variety of gauges, finishes, and lengths of B-deck stocked at Keystar guarantee that your needs are met.
